David Wiseman: The Four Seasons of Flower Fruit Mountain

After two decades of handcrafted sculpture, furniture and installations, David Wiseman took on his largest project yet: a full apartment in Hong Kong, with screens, furnishings, lighting, and wall and floor treatments. It was designed in conversation with two of the owner’s Monet Water Lilies paintings, weaving Giverny garden motifs into ancient Chinese mythology. The book follows it from first sketch to finished installation, with photographs and captions on how each material was made.
